Weekly Blog Entry Research & Project Updates (10)


Texturing work has been completed. I now move into the final phase of the project, putting everything together. This includes exporting textures out of Substance Painter, setting up the scene (Maya), moving everything in-engine (Unity), lighting, scaling, etc. Also includes updating Artist Statement, preparing Final Presentation, and turning in Semester Paper. This is work that will encompass the final 3 weeks of this shorter semester and take us into break. Images below…


Textures for Walls/Floors of Main Space are currently 4k (max that Substance allows on its viewport --> will be exporting in 8k)

Wood From last week fixed (new texture for railings, coated metal)

Red Lion and Red Shield

Virus (same color scheme as in the Print Art, different Materials as this isn't a "broken" virus, rather, an active virus that will be suppressed within the pit in the center of the space.

Tentative Project Schedule

PHASE IV

· Week 11 (This Week) – Week 13: Putting Everything Together – Place assets in game engine (Unity); appropriate scaling, duplicating, lighting work, sound work (optional). Turn in Semester Paper Final Copy. Write updated Artist Statement. Prepare Final Presentation!
